Master Photographer

Robin’s love of photography started in 1964 when at age nine he received a Kodak Brownie for Christmas. Photography continued as a hobby through his high school camera club years and in 1980 he turned professional.

In 1987 he received three awards at the Interprovincial Professional Photographers Competition and has continued to win awards at local, national and international levels. Including Canada’s highest award “Master of Photographic Arts” was presented to him in 1996. Then in 1999 a “Master Gold Bar”.

His use of natural posing, his mixture of ambient light with flash and soft focus has developed into his own distinctive style of photography best described as “Soft, Warm and Natural”.

Robin's creativity and appreciation for the abstract often shows up in his photography and writing.  A talent inherited from his father. noted artist and sculptor Gordon Spencer (1925-2001).
